Helen Perry, Head of Electric Passenger Cars & Infrastructure, Nissan, has told autocar.co.uk that she expects the Ariya would overtake the Leaf in sales. This would mean the Ariya becoming the next world’s best-selling EV.
As it is for BMW & Volkswagen, 2020 marks the beginning of the next chapter of electrification (and a new era) for Nissan and calls for a fresh brand identity. Nissan has introduced a substantially redesigned logo with the production Ariya electric SUV.
The new e-4ORCE system is built around two electric motors spreading its power across all of its wheels. Nissan is also hinting using this system in the Nissan Ariya EV crossover that will be unveiled next month.
