Olectra-BYD C9 Electric Bus unveiled at Auto Expo 2020

Olectra-BYD unveiled their C9 electric bus at the Auto Expo 2020 and the bus was unveiled by Mr Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and MSME.

The fully-electric C9 measures 12 meters in length and is available in 45 to 49 seat configuration. Powered by an advanced Li-ion Phosphate battery, the C9 is driven by two motors for a total power output of 360 kW and a maximum torque 3,000 Nm. The bus has been developed as an inter-city transporter, can drive up to 300 km in a single charge and can achieve a top speed of over 100 km/h.

The C9 electric bus gets features such as FDSS (Fire Detection and Suppression System) with TUV certification, ADAS System (Driver Fatigue System), ITS System, Panic Alarm System, emergency lighting system and defroster.
