Hero Electric has started teasing its electric scooter that will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 and the scooter is one of three new products from Hero Electric. Apart from the electric scooter, the company will also be unveiling an electric bike and an electric trike at the expo.
The new electric scooter will be Hero Electric’s first long-range scooter with an expected range of 120 km and a top speed of 80 km/h. The company’s current line-up of scooters are slow-speed models and the new scooter will take Hero Electric in to the big league with the likes of Bajaj, TVS and Ather.
Hero Electric will also be launching a new electric motorbike, which has been spotted already. The new motorbike gets a street fighter styling, with a conventional suspension setup (inverted forks in the front and mono shock to the rear), petal disc brakes and a digital instrument cluster. The company is also expected to offer an app that will offer information related to the battery, range, charge status etc.
The electric trike is targeted at corporate and commercial companies and not as a personal transportation vehicle, set to take on the Mahindra Treo and the Piaggio Ape Electrik. Stay tuned for more details.
