Hero Electric has launched three new electric scooters in India under its City Speed range – the Hero Optima-HX, Hero Nyx-HX and Hero Photon-HX.
Hero Optima-HX
The Hero Optima-HX has a 51.2 V/30 Ah or 1.54 kWh portable Lithium-ion battery pack that gives a range of 82 km. Its motor generates a peak power output of 1.2 kW or 1.63 PS and allows a top speed of 42 km/h. Fully charging the battery pack takes 4-5 hours. LED headlight, alloy wheels, CBS, digital speedometer, remote lock with an anti-theft alarm, telescopic suspension and USB port are some of the main Hero Optima-HX features.
The price of the Hero Optima-HX is INR 71,950, but under a special scheme announced on 6 October 2020, Hero Electric is offering it at INR 57,560 for a period of 45 days.
Hero Nyx-HX
The Hero Nyx-HX uses two 48 V/28 Ah or 1.34 kWh battery packs that give a range of 100 km. Moreover, it has a motor that generates a maximum power of 1.3 kW or 1.77 PS. The top speed is the same, though – 42 km/h and so is the full charging time of 4-5 hours. Digital speedometer, three grab rails for the pillion, glove box with bottle holder and telescopic suspension are the highlights of the Hero Nyx-HX. This model comes with a charger that offers voltage and temperature protection.
Hero Photon-HX
The Hero Photon-HX has a 72 V/26 Ah or 1.87 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack. However, its performance-tuned motor generating 1.8 kW or 2.45 PS is not in favour of a higher range. It can go up to 80 km on a full charge with just the rider. The top speed is 45 km/h and the full charging time is 5 hours. This model also comes with a charger that offers voltage and temperature protection.
Other attractions include remote lock with an anti-theft alarm, CBS, telescopic suspension, mobile charger and digital speedometer.
