Haval ‘vision2025’ electric SUV concept to be unveiled at Auto Expo

China’s Great Wall Motor (GWM) will unveil the Haval vision2025 electric SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. The concept, that lacks a tailpipe, was presented at the Auto Shanghai 2019 as a “a global intelligent SUV in the new era.”

GWM says the car is going to become an important mobility partner of the public and the company’s designers used four of the world’s leading concepts on this design & tech preview – autonomous interaction, hyper sensory visual design, intelligent driving assistance and full-scene ecological service.

The company says the vision2025 SUV is fitted with a transparent display like from Iron Man’s helmet on the floating display of the dashboard. The concept car has an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) system and brings real application of AR technology to the front windscreen to mix navigation, instruments, entertainment and communication with the road and display the entire virtual guide line on the windshield in real time, to ensure the driver keeps his eyes on the road while getting his information.

Another innovation in the concept car is the delivery-to-car design concept, envisioning the vision2025 as a drop-off point for packages ordered via e-commerce. Through the smart bracelet, the user can release the boot of the car for a minute for the courier to deliver the article.

GWM will also conduct the global premiere of the Haval Concept H at the Auto Expo.

The vision2025 sees the introduction of face recognition technology that replaces the conventional key fob. Biometric authentication and intelligent networking cloud computing are used to give users the right to use the car. When authorization is provided, the seats, navigation, sound tracks and health info are adjusted according to the user.

Two of the other features on the vision2025 worth noting are the photoelectric technology replacing conventional mirrors of the car. This helps improve the field of vision 3 times compared to traditional rear-view mirrors, reducing blind spots. Lastly the car comes with a 3D car location function that turns the driver’s mobile into a car-searching equipment to locate the vehicle in a large parking lot.
