On the eMG 6 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) sedan

The eMG 6 PHEV is based on Roewe i6 sedan and was the first vehicle with a hybrid powertrain for the brand when it was unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2017.

The eMG 6 PHEV gets a combination of a three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine and an electric motor for a total power output of 228 hp and 622 Nm of torque. The hybrid car consumes just 1.5 litres of petrol every 100 km and has a range of 53 km in pure electric mode. The hybrid system is supported by a 9.1 kWh battery which The battery is IP67-rated and meets the United States’ UL2580 standard.

MG Motor introduced eMG 6 PHEV based on the second generation MG 6. It gets a liftback body type that swoops downwards the rear. The car comes with internet connectivity based on a system by parent company SAIC and a voice control function. Other features include a dual-screen layout with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch display infotainment system, MGPilot advanced active driving assistance system (ADAS), automatic parking system, electronic parking brake and an optional remote control driving system that allows drivers to control the car at low speeds through an app.

The MG 6 PHEV also offers drivers access to real-time data, artificial intelligence voice control, cabin setting that match personal identity, GPS and more. It competes in the same class as the Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra and the Honda Civic.
