Bird Electric confirmed that the Electric Car EV1 project had stalled due to COVID-19 but it was not shelved. Bird Electric Mobility and Haima Automobile Group for India were planning to sign a business agreement after the unlock.
We spoke to Ankur Bhatia, Executive Director, Bird Group, about the launch of Haima in India and his expectations from the EV1.
Chinese automaker Haima Automobile has unveiled its first electric car for India, Bird Electric EV1, and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh on road. The Bird Electric EV1 is being promoted as a value proposition in B-segment.
While it was reported last year that the Chinese automotive company, Haima Automobile will be making its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2020, we did not know which vehicles the company had identified for its first Indian event. EVW can confirm that visitors can expect to see the Haima E3 Electric at the show.
Haima’s electric vehicle range includes Aishang 150, Aishang 200, Aishang 360 hatchbacks E3 sedan, E5 SUV, E7 MPV and Rongda van.
