India’s top two-wheeler brands are developing electric vehicles and while some have been vocal about plans, others have said they would need time to make them public as the marketing teams study India and watch how consumers are reacting to existing electric vehicles before firming up their strategies.
We came across a report on Telegraph India which reveals a bit more about the Quark 1. A company official talking to the newspaper has said that the segment-shifting vehicle will use a low voltage system. The company is considering all three options – slow charging, fast charging and swappable battery system for its powertrain. It must be noted that the Indian government at this point does not offer incentives (under FAME II) for vehicles with swappable batteries.
