Audi e-tron GT reaches dealerships in the United States

The Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT have landed on the US shores, which now serve the new halo offerings from the German automaker in the country. The new Audi e-tron GT can now be configured at the official website of Audi USA and is now available for test drives at authorized dealerships. Available in three different variants, including the performance-oriented RS e-tron GT, the Audi e-tron GT range has a starting price of $99,900.

Specifications

Audi e-tron GT

The Audi e-tron GT is powered by two electric motors, which team up to produce 469 hp (394.7 kW) of maximum power and 464 lb-ft (629 Nm) of maximum torque. The overboost function with launch control increases the performance numbers up to 522 hp (389.3 kW) of power and 472 lb-ft (640 Nm) of torque. The car can hit a top speed of 152 mph (244 kmph), while the 0-60 mph sprint is covered in 3.9 seconds. The driving range is 238 miles (EPA estimated).

Audi RS e-tron GT

The Audi RS e-tron GT features a more powerful dual-motor setup, which puts up a combined power output of 590 bhp (440 kW) and torque output of 612 lb-ft (829.7 Nm). With the overboost function, the power output rises to 637 bhp (475 kW). In terms of performance, the RS e-tron GT has a top speed of 155 mph (250 kmph) and touches 60 mph from a standstill in 3.1 seconds, with a maximum driving range of 232 miles (373.3 km).

The Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT are available with rear-wheel steering, enabling the wheels to turn in the opposite direction up to 30 mph of speed and in the same direction on speeds more than that. Also on offer is the e-torque vectoring plus, which has a locking rear differential for cornering. Both these cars can attain a range of 120 miles in 10 minutes of charging and 180 miles in 22 minutes of charging, with the help of 270 kW DC public chargers. The customers of both cars will be offered free-of-cost three-year DC fast charging plans at all the Electrify America charging stations.

Features and variants

Audi e-tron GT

The Audi e-tron GT is being offered in two variants to choose from. The more affordable ‘Premium Plus’ variant comes equipped with matrix LED headlamps with high beam assist, 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension, ‘monoposto’ cockpit, which includes a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit and 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display, Alcantara wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel and 14-way powered and heated sport seats. The variant can be equipped with optional extras like laser headlamps, a full leather interior with ventilated and massaging seats, a premium driver assistance system, a performance package with e-torque vectoring plus, and black optic appearance features.

The second ‘Prestige’ variant has standard features like premium driver assistance systems, top-view camera, head-up display, dual pane windows, Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, and remote park assist. The optional extras for this variant include laser headlamps, a performance package with e-torque vectoring plus, 21-inch alloy wheels, and black optic appearance features.

Audi RS e-tron GT

The performance-oriented Audi RS e-tron GT, in its single variant, has features like carbon fiber roof panel, 20-inch sustainably made AERO wheels, premium driver assistance package, performance package with e-torque vectoring plus, power steering plus, head up display, and carbon fiber accents on the front and rear bumpers. It is also offered with a range of optional bits like 21-inch alloy wheels, carbon fiber accents on exterior door trims, a carbon performance package with rear-wheel steering, laser headlamps, full leather upholstery, and black exterior badging.

In addition to the above standard and optional features, Audi is also offering a limited edition Year One Package of add-ons, which includes features like 21-inch alloy wheels with red ceramic brakes, carbon performance and full leather interior packages and RS interior design package with black interior with contrast red stitching and seat belts.

Additional services

Apart from round-the-clock roadside assistance services, the customers of Audi e-tron GT can have access to the ‘Audi Care’ maintenance plan for $999 (taxes extra) for three years. This plan includes vehicle servicing inclusive of wearable parts, valet pickup and drop facility for servicing mobile servicing like a tire changing or basic maintenance at the desired location, and up to 10 free tows per year to the authorized service center.

There is also an ‘Always Audi’ plan for the customers, which allows them to have seven Silvercar by Audi rental car days, for days like taking a test drive of another Audi vehicle or drive for a business or leisure trip. Audi has also collaborated with Electrify America and Qmerit for making customized home charging solutions, including a 9.6 kW charger, for customers.
