Intending to speed up the EV adoption and encourage more consumers to try out EVs, companies are increasingly partnering with rental and leasing platforms now. In August, this year Ampere Electric partnered with OTO Capital to offer Ampere electric scooters in India on lease. The same month, it also announced a battery subscription plan under a partnership with Autovert Technologies in the home market. Now, it has partnered with the two-wheeler rental company Bounce to allow customers to rent Ampere electric scooters.

Coimbatore-based Ampere Electric is India’s fourth top-selling electric two-wheeler brand.

Ampere Electric, a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Ltd., says that its electric scooters are available in nearly 200 cities and towns. The company aims to make these EVs more accessible and convenient for customers with affordable rental plans enabled by Bounce.

Ampere Electric hasn’t disclosed the name of models it will supply to Bounce as part of the tie-up.
